The Baut

In the northwest of Herten woodland is located, which is bordering directly the area of the Schloss Westerholt and the 18-hole-golf course: the Baut. In this forest the lions of the earl of Westerholt were living in vivarium until a few years ago. Today the forest is used as a favoured place to enjoy the nature.
