Measured by the cultural infrastructure the “medium-sized town of Herten” has an almost metropolitan standard. Numerous cultural events take place at extraordinary venues, which became important beyond the city limits of Herten.

“Kultur im Ruhrgebiet” is a comprehensive cultural server, who informs you about events in the whole Ruhr area. The portal of culture is based on two pillars: The calendar of events, who illustrates the upcoming cultural section separately and the info-theque, who provides information about the institution and the creative forces themselves.
